MO Governor to join auto salvage company

We now know what Missouri Governor Matt Blunt will be doing after he leaves office in January.

Blunt will help run an auto salvage company when his time as Governor is up.

Copart Incorporated announced Blunt will joining its board of directors on Jan. 13. That's the day after Blunt's term as governor ends.

A Blunt spokesman confirmed the new job.

The auto salvage company is based in Fairfield, California and sells more than 1 million vehicles a year to dismantlers, exporters and used car dealers. The company says its directors are paid $50,000 a year and are eligible to receive company stock.

A Blunt spokesman says the governor also is exploring other employment options after leaving office.
